Frog groups of Australia
This "Field Guide to the Frog Groups of Australia" allows you to search the country for societies and organisations encourage active participation in frog-related activities and events or amphibian conservation.
Whether you are looking to sit in a lecture theatre listening to a tale of someone's latest discovery, a chance to get wet recording tadpole numbers, or something in between, these groups should be able to provide the opportunity.
The guide provides contact details for each group and links to their website (if applicable). Some groups/programs are part of the frogs.org.au Community - the activities of these groups may be listed in the event calendar and you can choose to stay informed via specialised e-newsletters in the Community.

The Field Guide to Frog Groups is the newest project at frogs.org.au. We are developing systems for groups around Australia to publish their own events on the frogs.org.au calendar and, even better, to produce electronic newsletters that are sent to members of the frogs.org.au Community.
In the Community you can manage your profile to receive only the news you want.
The system is currently being tested with a handful of groups. Stay tuned to the "web updates" newsletter for news of the official launch and to be notified when new newsletters are available.
The search is currently limited to state-level criteria. Future work will further separate groups into regions and the distribution maps will be updated to reflect this.
