Welcome to the ARCade. Or should that be "ARC-aid"? Because all monies raised through this store will go towards the programs run by the Amphibian Research Centre and the Victorian Frog Group that directly benefit frogs.
The ARCade began in December 2002. Our first product was the Frog Watch calendar that we gave away in exchange for donations of $10. The proceeds from the calendar alone raised $20,000 that went directly to Project Corroboree - the recovery program for Australia's most endangered frog, the Corroboree Frog (Pseudophryne corroboree).
The ARCade provides valuable services for amateur and professional herpetologists.
Our insect-delivery service sends crickets and flies nationwide to feed many frogs in homes and other institutions such as zoos. We aim to supply high-quality products such as identification guides (written and aural) and other reference works, high-quality gifts, and perhaps the occasional novelty item if it merits our attention. Or, you can simply make a donation to one of the programs run by the ARC and have our eternal gratitude.
The merchandise will vary. We constantly add to our stock and may sell particular items for a limited time only - we often get a single delivery of stock donated or offered at a very low price. We welcome ideas for new offerings - please use the "contact us" link at the top of the page.

The ARCade now delivers worldwide so international herpetologists have a new source for uniquely Australian goods. Postage and handling charges are as low as possible. (If you think that's too generous, you can always make a donation along with your order).
Security for your peace of mind.
The ARCade uses the frogs.org.au secure certificate, which means that you can safely transmit payment details without any danger of them falling into the wrong hands. On the payment pages ("checkout"), you will notice the GoDaddy.com logo assuring you that the transfer of your information is secure. For additional peace of mind, take note that your browser displays a small padlock and the address of the page begins with "https://". We process transactions within a day or two of entry and when approved your credit card number is erased from the database. Thus, we only ever have a handful of credit card numbers in our database at any time.
